Nipple and Areola Re-shaping and Correction Charlotte

Nipple Areola Reduction

You may not realize it, but nipple and areola surgery in Charlotte is a fairly common procedure. At Criswell & Criswell Plastic Surgery, our surgeons offer a variety of procedures to address multiple shapes and sizes of nipples. With life changes, many women experience a change in size and shape of their nipples and areolas. This can be due to pregnancy, weight gain or weight loss. Also, some women are just born with large or irregularly shaped nipples or areolas, much as some women are born with large breasts.

Nipple and areola surgery can adjust the size and or shape of your nipples and areola to a proportion that is right for you. Many of our North Carolina nipple reduction patients have had this procedure to reduce the overall size (circumference) of the areola. Others have reduced the projection and size of the nipple itself. Nipple reduction by itself or combined with areola reduction surgery can restore or create a more natural balance in size and shape between the nipple areola complex and the breast.

Nipple Inversion Correction

Other Charlotte nipple correction patients of ours are women that were born with or developed nipples that lacked projection or were inverted. Dr. Bryan Criswell and Dr. Kara Criswell will evaluate your needs to determine that this is natural for you and does not need any medical work up. As long as this is the case, our surgeons can then offer you a procedure to help provide better nipple projection for you.

Nipple areola reduction or correction procedures are performed as outpatient procedures and can be performed alone or in combination with breast enhancement surgery.
